Luxurious office relocation and redecoration in Cape Town

Sygnia, a financial services company, wanted to relocate their offices. The programme was to occupy the top two floors of the Foundry in Dark-green Point, Cape Town. For that, they went to Greatcoat Town-based blueprint studio Antoni Associates for aid. The squad managed to respond to the visitor's requests and the offices were successfully relocated. The projection was completed in 2010 and the Sygnia offices at present take a gimmicky and very stylish wait.

Marking Rielly and Michele Rhoda of Antoni Associates had few requests for the designers. The chief goal was to create an open programme office environment and the cardinal for that was to get inspiration from the industrial New York loft-style gallery spaces. As well, given the fact that the customer was passionate about art and had an impressive collective of international and local artworks, the team also needed to observe a way to contain those into the new function design.

In order to create that gallery feel, the design team for a stark white interior. All the walls, ceilings and exposed steelwork were painted white. This would also serve equally a great background for displaying the artwork drove. The floors were treated with a lite grey epoxy loftier gloss terminate and this gave the function a stylish and luxurious feel. The meeting rooms were replaced past meeting boxes, a more than contemporary alternative. These spaces are raised off the floor. Besides all the beautiful artwork displayed on the walls of the office, an installation of over 700 pieces of manus-blown colored glass was created. It sits suspended from the roof ceiling and creates a very interesting focal betoken.
